Molly Anne Coogan is a writer, actor, director and producer.
She is the writer, producer, and star of the web series "Things I Hate," winner of the Best Comedy Award at NBC Universal's 2016 acclaimed Short Film Festival selected by industry leaders like Tracey Wigfield (writer-producer, The Mindy Project, Great News) and Justin Lin (director, Stark Trek Beyond).
As a writer her work has been produced or developed by NBC, The Williamstown Theatre Festival, Ars Nova, SPACE on Ryder Farm and The 52nd Street Project. Her original pilot, AVALANCHE, was a finalist for the 2017 IFP No Borders lab.
She is one half of the sketch comedy duo Moll & Rell known for their viral video Nickelblock which Molly directed and co-wrote. Their videos have been featured on Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, Betches, Hello Giggles, E!, Playboy, The Daily Dot, Bustle, Jezebel, WhoHaHa and received a personal endorsement from comedy goddess Elizabeth Banks. They also created a political sketch for Moveon.org's 2016 election cycle.
As an actor she's worked with The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Ars Nova,The O'Neill Theatre Center, The Civilians, TheatreWorks California, CBS, TBS, and more.
She writes and plays music, too.
She loves photo booths and the word "burgled." She refuses to pass a lemonade stand without buying a glass.
